Beeston is awash with great places to drink coffee and eat cake. It’s a difficult market to be successful in here, I think, but the Creative Corner in Chilwell seems to have started up a café with a difference; a waffle house cum art gallery.

The café itself is nice enough, but the waffles are delicious and the coffee is good. There’s an art gallery attached, plus some other arts and crafts shops nearby.

Well worth a visit

Beeston has a lovely selection of cafés, restaurants and pubs. Over the last few years we’ve enjoyed some great additions to the local eateries, and we are spoiled for choice for places to go and have a cup of tea or a pint.

One such place is Time For Tea, a 1940s vintage tea house. The decor is pretty much as you’d expect from a café styling itself on the 1940s, and the cakes are absolutely divine. I loved this old mantelpiece display, especially the photos.

Highly recommended for anyone visiting Beeston.
