Batsford Arboretum

Originally uploaded by rutty.

I’ve been busy with the camera again. I spent a large part of yesterday at Batsford Arboretum, a lovely private park near to Moreton-in-Marsh.

It’s £6 to get in, a bit steep I suppose, but there’s 55 acres of landscaped parkland to wander around. They’ve filled it with a variety of lovely shrubs and trees, including loads of Rhododendrons and some Giant Redwoods. There were still plenty of spring flowers in evidence too.

We had a lovely stroll around there and I ran the batteries out on my camera because I couldn’t stop clicking away. I think I managed about 110 pictures in all although I’ve uploaded less than half that onto Flickr.

I especially liked the Japanese influence and the Buddha which you can see on the right.

I’ll be taking plenty of pictures this summer I think. It’s becoming a bit of an obsession!
