I am a big fan of the digital world. So many of the old ways of doing stuff are now done – better – in a digital, online world.
However, I’ve never been a big of reading books on digital devices. I can read short stuff – articles, blogs, news etc – on my phone or tablet, but stories? No. Can’t do it.
I know this is a habit but I like to touch my books. I have a physical response to stories that is diminished, for me, when read on something electronic. I need actual paper in my hand.
Ruby also likes to hold her books. While she has an iPad she can use, we haven’t installed the Kindle or Books apps on there. We probably will eventually, but in the meantime she does enjoy reading actual books with real pages.
