In order to maintain my rate of consumption of foodstuffs today I have enjoyed a rather large and somewhat delicious curry or three with the rest of my family. It was one of those really good Indian places that serves simple food really quickly, and there was plenty of it. It seemed a bit strange to be eating off paper plates and using plastic knives and forks, but that just adds to the charm of the place.
I’d just about made some space in my gut after my monster breakfast, but the three curries we ordered, and shared about, went down nicely.
No booze for sale there though – something about religion preventing them from selling it.
Now I can hardly move, and elder niece H is wailing in such a way as to reduce further any wishes I may have had to procreate. Bless them, I love these two little girls to bits but I’m glad I don’t have to look after them 24 hours a day. My Yorkshire roots tell me that children should be seen and not heard and at the moment I can hear one of them just fine!
Must be time for beer. Hmmmm, beer….
