Still stiff

Today I am mostly suffering from the-day-after-the-day-after-stiffness normally associated with inactive slobs suddenly embarking on some vigourous exercise. I’ve always done this – I’m usually not too bad the day after exercising, but usually suffer the most the day after that. This time is no exception.

I’m really finding it uncomfortable to walk today but I’m sure that it will pass in a day or so. It serves me right for running so bloody far in the first place.

I’m also managing to maintain the mostly-healthy eating regime. On the way home from work yesterday I visited Sainsbury’s and availed myself of some reduced-price vegetables and other cheap produce. I then made myself a nice vegetable and tuna “casserole” for my tea. It looked disgusting but tasted delicious, and was even better for me because I steamed the broccoli, cauliflower, mange-tous and baby sweetcorn before mixing them into the onion, garlic, tomatoes and tuna mixture in a big pan, with a hint of chilli for taste. I like chilli.

I’ve been naughty this morning though, as I’ve been to get myself a lovely bacon and mushroom cob, but I’ve always intended to have a little of what I like as well, and I suppose Friday is as good a day as any to indulge in the bad things.
